My Cuties!

I'm a proud mama, what can I say?

The kids call this Sofie's Miss Muffet hat

Tyler and his cousin Seth just finished their Jr. Jazz basketball season. Tyler did great and really improved through the season.

She can fall asleep anywhere

I didn't realize I'd buried her in the cart. I was just shopping and throwing things in, and then I hear, "Mom, I can't move." This is what I saw when I looked.

SLEDDING!

We have had an unusually mild winter. We've been waiting for a good storm so we could hit the sledding hill. Finally, in March, we got one. My sister, Mandy, took Sofie, and I took her older kids, Ally and Seth with us. The kids had a blast and were out there a good two hours. Elsie really surprised me and had no fear. I asked if she wanted me to go with her on her first run down the hill. Nope! She hopped right onto her tube and down she went. She even went over the jump a few times. She'd get off and hike her and her tube back up the hill every time by herself.

Brian Turns 34!

Brian's birthday was on the day of the pinewood derby, which was also a ward dinner/youth fundraiser. We got home kind of late, but he'd requested molten lava cake. So I hurried and made it, and we enjoyed it well after bedtime. He's also excited to ride his new bike!

Tyler's First Pinewood Derby

I saw a cartoon of a young boy scout holding his trophy and first place derby car in his hand asking his dad if he could help on the car next year. YEP!!! Dad definitely got into it! We had the idea to do the Batmobile. Brian worked hard on it, and Tyler helped a little. Tyler was pretty proud of the finished product. It was a cool looking car. He tied for 4th out of 10. He sure had a blast, though.

Tyler's Baptism

What a special day! On February 4, Tyler was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was so excited. We were joined by a lot of family, who came to support Tyler and share in his special day. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson flew up from Texas, Grandma and Papa White were here, along with Dean, Mary and Family, Bryan, Karen and Family, Aunt Kaylene, Brooke, Cousins, Great Grandma and Grandpa Ladd, and some of my aunts.

My nephew, Tyler's cousin, Trevin, went into the hospital on the day of Tyler's baptism and was in the ICU for 11 days. The day after Tyler's baptism, Tyler wanted to join in a family fast for Trevin, who was fighting for his life. For those of you that were at his baptism and shared in our concern for Trevin, we are happy to report he is home and doing well.

Tyler Turns 8!!!

Holy Cow!!! Can my boy really be eight already? I swear he was just born. He notified me a couple of weeks before his birthday that he'd been inviting some of his friends from school to his "Harry Potter" birthday party. So, we planned a Potter Party. We had a sorting hat with a cell phone hidden inside an inner pocket of the hat, and Brian was in the other room and sorted them all into houses. They got to make wands, make giggle potion in potions class, have pizza and butter beer and play some games. He had a great time.

Christmas 2011

We had a great time this year at Christmas.

I took Grace and Elsie on a mommy date to see "The Nutcracker". We went with Grace's best friends Kate and Kiara and their mommy. Grace had a couple of friends in the show, so it was extra fun for her. Next year she wants to be in it as well.

This year I made about 120 gingerbread houses. Yes, I'm crazy. We took them to all the kids around the neighborhood for our neighbor gifts and for both Grace and Tyler's class parties at school. It kept me very busy.
