Tyler wanted a dinosaur birthday party at Backyard Adventures. It was a lot of fun, and I loved just showing up with pizza and a cake and not having any other work to do for the party. It was great - except for my dino cake disaster. I got the cake done and then the head crumbled off. After all the time spent on the cake I didn't want to make more cake and try another head, so I told Brian I was just going to buy a cake. He told me I couldn't let my son down, and that Tyler really wanted a dinosaur cake. So I bought a loaf of angel food cake at the bakery and Brian cut it so it wouldn't fall again. Tyler got his dino cake.

Aww, that looks like it was so much fun! I'm so sorry we missed it...we had unexpected company from out of town...and Congrats on a fabulous cake...I must say, I am impressed!!!
That cake does look really good! Good job!
I loved getting caught up on your blog. I'm so glad to see Tyler's birthday party pictures -- and the cake looked just like a dinosaur and delicious, as well. It was fun to see all the guests having such a great time!
Your tribute to sisters shows real writing talent and is especially inspiring! What a special thing for all of you to share - and to remind Grace and Elsie of the goal ahead for them.
Elsie's carry-all pictures, with the comment about her not having a cow name, are real keepers!
Love,
Dianne
Happy Birthday to Tyler! What an amazing cake you made. I'm impressed. It was fun catching up on your blog. The one about your sisters was so touching. You're so right about sisters being your best friends. I know mine sure are! Elsie's dress was amazing as well . . . I guess the talent of creativity runs in your family.
Cute cake...it turned out great! Looks like a fun party!
That is the coolest cake I've ever seen! Did you make it up? Did you find it on Familyfun.com??? I MUST make that cake for Drew.
