Tyler's T-Ball

Tyler loves Baseball. He was resigned to playing T-Ball because of his age. He actually hits a pitched ball better than one on the T. Next time he'll be old enough for coach pitch. He can't wait. Anyway, he had a great season, and he really is quite good at it.

Children's Museum

My kids always love going to the Children's Museum down at The Gateway. There is so much for them to do.

BYU vs OU

Brian and I had a blast at the BYU vs OU game in Dallas. Let me preface that this is not something we normally get to do. A subcontractor that Brian works with invited us to fly to Dallas on their private company jet. We felt so spoiled. It was fun flying on a private jet (neither of us have done that before). We got to sit in a suite at the new Cowboys Stadium. Fun trip.

Zoo

What's summer time without going to the zoo? My kids LOVE the zoo.

Summer Swimming

We got summer passes to the Classic water slides this summer. My kids had a blast. The slides were just the right size for my kids and it had a perfect kiddie pool.

Alcova Reservoir

In July we went with my family to Alcova Reservoir, about a half an hour outside of Casper in Wyoming. My brother brought RV's for everyone. Now that is my idea of camping. It was a lot of fun. My kids keep asking when we get to go back to "Wyoming Lake".

Sum Sum Summertime

It's been way too long since I've posted and so much has happened. Here it all is in a nutshell. Grace had her dance recital. She was a flying monkey in the Wizard of Oz. They danced to "Hey, Hey, We're the Monkeys". It was so cute. Tyler graduated from preschool. We went to Colorado to visit my sister, Megan. The kids had a blast. We went to the rodeo and the kids did the Mutton Busting. Tyler loved it. Grace, not so much. Her sheep, Cotton Ball, jumped out of the shoot and she was whipped off the back immediately. Poor thing, she ate some dirt. The kids all earned a dollar for their ride. Grace wasn't impressed. I think that's the hardest dollar she ever had to earn. We went to Lagoon. We've been to the water park. Grace turned 4 and had a fun birthday party at Backyard Adventures. She had a lot of cousins in town to help her celebrate. I'm quite embarrassed that I bought her a cake. I've always made my kids birthday cakes for whatever the party theme is. She wanted Barbie and The Diamond Castle. Could not find a cake idea anywhere, so I had to buy one. We're having a fun summer.

St. George

For the Memorial Day Weekend we went to St. George with several friends. We had a blast. We have awesome friends, and I'm so glad that they have young kids for our kids to play with. Sadly, though, I think Tyler and Grace are the only ones who came back with any sun. They got the tans and they're the ones I lathered in sunscreen.

Brian and all the guys went golfing while we were down there. We brought Tyler's clubs, since he loves golfing with his Dad. Unfortunately the course would only let kids over 8-years-old out on the course. So, Brian took Tyler "golfing" on the lawn at the condo.

St. George Temple - We did a tour of the visitor center on Sunday.

Tyler loved all the space at the condo for riding his bike. He's been learning to ride without training wheels and he was able to master it down there. Now he likes everyone to call him champion, since he can ride with no training wheels. (Yes, he's rather proud of himself:) And that's Champion - Not Champ!

Dot The Cow

Grace's preschool class had their opera of The Little Red Hen last week. Grace was Dot the Cow, or Dot the Tow as she said it. She was adorable and did a wonderful job. She even had a solo. Brian had to laugh at how deep her voice was compared to all the other little girls in the class with sweet girl voices. Deep voice and all, she was great. She's the cutest little cow I ever did see.
